This last weekend I received a very nice message from a chap who said he worked for a company that has been installing the Compiere and Adempire ERP system and training offices on how to use the software.

And that should tell you all you need to know about its complexity! My brother has been programming since the days of the TRS-80, and he still maintains that, if the developers have done their job properly, an expert in the field for which the software has been developed will be able to learn how to use the software relatively quickly by simply interfacing with it. If the interface is so counter-intuitive that it requires special training, it's probably because it was poorly developed.

Anyway...

This fellow also pointed out that on Compiere and ADempire you also don't have to enter your bills as inventory, you can enter them as "charges" in the general ledger. (They haven't invented accounts payable yet.)
